The area of Nissaki is ideal for the walkers,
a place full of small roads and paths that lead to the old village named "Old Sinies".

In the old times the habitants of Nissaki used to live in this abandoned village,
high above the sea and secured from the pirates incursions, the last habitants left Old Sinies at the year 1969.

churches, the old school and many wells, about 13, which the farmers
still use to water their goats, sheeps and cows.

If you follow the paths after the old village of Old Sinies you will get
to the top of Pantokrator mountain which is the highest point of the island (917m)
commanding superb views over most of Corfu.
A bare and rocky peak near which stands an old monastery from 1347.
